Elon Musk has denied claims that he sexually harassed a flight attendant on a private jet and offered to buy her a horse if she \u201cdid more\u201d during a massage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

The billionaire SpaceX founder is alleged to have exposed himself in a private cabin on a Gulfstream jet during a flight to London in 2016 before touching the attendant\u2019s thigh and trying to bribe her for sexual favours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

The fallout apparently saw SpaceX reach a $250,000 settlement with the woman, who is now bound by non-disclosure agreements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

The remarkable claims were made by a friend of the attendant, who wrote in a legal declaration seen by Business Insider that Mr Musk asked “for a full body massage” while flying on a company plane to the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

When the attendant entered Mr Musk\u2019s private cabin, he “was completely naked except for a sheet covering the lower half of his body,” she claimed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Billionaire Elon Musk allegedly exposed himself to a flight attendant, sexually propositioned her, offered to buy her a horse, and later settled her claim against him for a quarter million dollars, according to an investigation from Insider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

The investigation, published Thursday by online news site Insider, said that Musk had sexually harassed the woman in 2016 while getting a massage on a private jet while traveling for his aerospace company, SpaceX. A friend of the flight attendant, with whom the flight attendant had confided about the alleged incident, said that Musk had rubbed the flight attendant\u2019s leg, exposed his genitals, and offered her a horse to get her \u201cto do more\u201d than a massage, the article said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

SpaceX paid a $250,000 severance to the flight attendant in 2018 after she had contacted a lawyer, according to Insider. Both the flight attendant and her friend, who shared a signed declaration with Insider supporting the flight attendant\u2019s story and that was used in the flight attendant\u2019s complaint to SpaceX about the incident, were unidentified in the article.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Asked for comment, Musk told the publication that there was \u201ca lot more to this story.\u201d He added, \u201cIf I were inclined to engage in sexual harassment, this is unlikely to be the first time in my entire 30-year career that it comes to light.\u201d He also called the story a \u201cpolitically motivated hit piece.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

Musk, who is CEO of Tesla, did not elaborate on why he considered the article to be politically motivated. But the article comes a day after he tweeted that he would now vote Republican after previously voting mostly Democrat while alluding to future \u201cdirty tricks\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party,\u201d he wrote. \u201cBut they have become the party of division and hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

After the Insider article was published, Musk continued to call it politically motivated in a tweet late Thursday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe attacks against me should be viewed through a political lens \u2013 this is their standard (despicable) playbook \u2013 but nothing will deter me from fighting for a good future and your right to free speech.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd, for the record, those wild accusations are utterly untrue,\u201d he wrote in another tweet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

The incident allegedly took place in a private room aboard the flight to London. No other people were present to corroborate the story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

SpaceX declined to comment to Insider about incident or the payment to the flight attendant, who was barred from discussing any of it by the agreement. The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment by Fortune<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
